'Marie Belle Young Morris, age 93 was born, August 18, 1920 the daughter of the late Floyd and Mae Edwards Young. She departed this life, Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at the Wayne County Hospital.

On December 24, 1935 she united in marriage with Gilmer Morris who passed away May 4, 1988. To this union two daughters survive: Doloris Morris and Barbara Morris both of Monticello. Three infant children precede her in death: Donald Rue, Wanda Lou and Cathy Lynn Morris.

Marie was the last survivor of the Floyd and Mae Young family. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Robert, Porter, Leslie, Carl and Joe Young.

Also surviving is her sister-in-law: Agatha Young with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

As a young lady she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the New Hope Baptist Church, later moving her membership to the Cooper Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Monticello First Baptist Church at the time of her passing.
