'Marie Carrender Morrow, age 85 was born in Wayne County, May 20, 1931 the daughter of the late Essie and Mae Turpin Carrender. She departed this life early Sunday morning, March 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. On January 15, 1948, she united in marriage with Willie Floyd Morrow, who passed away, December 23, 1997. To this nearly 50-year union five children survive: Jane Stinson, Sally Morrow, Virginia Lewis, Estil and Roy Morrow. She was preceded in death by a pair of infant twins, Dorothy Mae and Willie Ray Morrow. Also surviving are six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; her sister, Zelma Cook and brothers, Ralph and Hulan Carrender. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Stella Mae Robertson, Shirley Morrow, Raymond, Robert, Richard and Edward Carrender. Marie had had Christ her Savior and was a member of the Fall Creek Baptist Church at the time of her passing.
