'Marjorie Matilda Ann Kelsay Goff, was born February 18, 1923 the daughter of the late Millard and Cora Choate Kelsay. She departed this life Friday afternoon, May 20th, at her home on North Ridgewood Ave.
On June 2, 1946 she united in marriage with her husband of 58 years, Jack Rankin Goff who passed away December 31, 2004. To this union one daughter survives: Virginia Ann \u0027Ginger\u0027 Goff Scott of Morgantown, West Virginia. Two sisters in-law, Louise Goff and Christine Goffm, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Goff had one sister: Hayes Kelsay Neely who precedes her in death. Surviving are her children, Marjorie\u0027s loved niece and nephews: Ellen Hurt, Boyd and Bill Neely and their families.
She was retired from teaching from the Wayne County High School. As a young lady she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of the Gap Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in Vacation Bible School. Later in life she and Jack moved from the farm to town and she moved her membership to the Monticello First Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her health failed her.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to the First Baptist Church or The Marjorie Goff Scholarship Fund at the Wayne County High School.

5 to 9 Tuesday in the Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9 to 11AM at the Church
