'Marshall Marion Guffey, age 89 was born in Clinton County, Kentucky August 17, 1923 the son of the late John and Docia Ayers Guffey. He departed this life Friday afternoon at the Central Baptist Hospital after a long and difficult struggle with Alzheimer-s.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Davidson Guffey and two sons: Danny and wife Mary Guffey and Terry Guffey all of Monticello. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Allison Rice and Drew Guffey and two great grandchildren. Marshall is the last surviving member of the John Guffey family.

Marshall served his country with honor during both WWII and Korea; served his community working in auto mechanics and served his Lord as a very faithful member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church.

Wednesday from 4 unitl 7 at the First Baptist Church

Funeral:
7pm Wednesday evening at the Church

Interment:
10AM Thursday at Elk Spring Valley where military honors will be given by Wayne County DAV',
