'Mary Hazel Catron Hicks was born January 18, 1928 in Wayne County the daughter of the late Cress and Lessie Denney Catron. She departed this life, Thursday, August 16th in the Jean Waddle Hospice unit in Somerset.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Fred A. Kendrick who passed away in 1957 and later Tommy Hicks who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are five children: Virginia Sue Adams, Dennis and wife Linda Lester, Donnie and his wife Gayle Lester, Cecil and wife Cindy Kendrick and Carolyn Walcott. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren and one brother, Kenneth Catron with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Hazel was preceded in death her children: Ronnie, Michael and Connie and siblings: Eugen, Don Bill Earl and Christine Catron.
As a young lady she accepted Christ as her Savior and be came a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church at the time of her passing.',
