Mary Thornton was born November 29 ^th ,1938 and departed this life Tuesday November, 30 ^th 2021 reaching the age of 83 years. She was the wife of the late Jim Thornton and the daughter of the late Floyd and Flonnie Coffey Slagle.

She is survived by one daughter; Terry (Richard) Frye, one son in law; Randall Koontz, two sisters; Sue Carter and Kaye Lyons, and four grandchildren; Zachary Koontz, Jordan Koontz, Marissa Frye, and Bethany Frye.

Along with her husband she is preceded in death by one daughter; Shelia Koontz, two brothers; Bobby Slagle, Kenneth Slagle, and four sisters; Estine Hurt, Gatha Baker, Norma Lyons, and Elnore Thompson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 6 ^th , from 10AM until 1PM in the funeral home chapel. A private family celebration of life service will be held at 1PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideons Memorial Bible Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
