'Matilda \u0027Tillie\u0027 Price Rankin, age 91 was born in the Rich Pond community of Warren County, the daughter of the late William R and Jimmie Bell Price. She departed this life January 1, 2015 at Neighborhood of Somerset.

On November 24, 1949 she united in marriage with Proctor C. Rankin who passed away November 27, 2006. To this 57 year union three children were born; Ann Elizabeth Rankin who tragically passed away in 1970, Mary Rankin and husband Norman Dam of Greenville, South Carolina and Chilton and his wife Vicky Rankin of Bronston.

Also surviving are two grandsons: Rankin Price Dam and John Proctor Dam; and siblings: John Price, Zee Stewart, Mary Gott, Bill Price, Terry Price and Jane Proctor.

She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Sue Davis, Jim, Ernest and Wallace Price.

A retired School teacher she received her education at Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. She was active in many community activities that included: the Wayne County Woman\u0027s Club, a Master Gardener, Certified Judge with the Kentucky Garden Club and the Wayne County Historical Society. A Christian, she faithfully attended the Oil Valley Church of Christ as long as her health allowed.
