'Maudena Orr, age 89 was born June 27, 1924 the daughter of the late Fletcher and Beulah Jones Smith. She departed this life, Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Hospice Suite of Wayne County Hosptial.

On December 14, 1943 she united in marriage with Walter Ray Orr Sr. who passed away September 1, 2000. To this union two children survive, her son: Walter and his wife Brenda Orr and her daughter: Anita and her husband Charlie Peters both of Monticello.

Surviving are her grandchildren: Angela Denise Orr, Anthony Wayne Orr, Allison Michele Cress, Aaron Thomas Lester and her step daughter: Lee Ellen Hedrick; her great grandchildren: Ashton, Ethan, Lucas, Delaney, Adysen Grace, Emma and Macy.

Maudena is also survived by her sisters: Pauline Burnett and Louise Goff and brothers: Curtis and Phillip Smith. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Lily Lucido, Donald, Kenneth and Johnny Smith.

As a young lady, she accepted Christ as her Lord and was a faithful, active member of the Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church.
