'Maudie Cathleen Daws, age 74 the daughter of the late Shelby and Evalee Hutchison Barnett was born January 30, 1934 in the Betsy community of Wayne County. She lost her battle with Caner, Monday afternoon, June 16th at her home on Spann Hill.

On May 28th, 1954 she united in marriage with Beryl W. Daws, who passed away August 24th, 1981. To this union five children survive; Debbie Lowe, Connie Foust and Beryl Daws Jr all of Indianapolis, Indiana; Pattie Austin of Ocala, Florida and Linda Burton of Louisville.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eight siblings, Pauline Tweedy and Barton Barnett both of Indianapolis, IN, George Kenneth Barnett of Monticello, Floyd Barnett of Clearwater, Florida, James Alfred Barnett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Margaret Isbell of Burnside.

She is preceded in death by twin infants, Jay and Ray Daws; her brother, Shelby Barnett Jr and sisters, Virginia Barnett and Sadie Christine Taylor.

Mrs. Daws had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Spann Hill Baptist Church where she was active in the Women-s Missionary Union.
