Mildred Mae Barnett passed from this life on Monday, June 21 ^st ,2021 at the age of 80 years young.

She was born December 10 ^th ,1940 in Monticello, Kentucky the daughter of the late Austin and Maggie Thompson.

She married Milton Gene Barnett on November 26 ^th , 1959.

Mildred is survived by two sons; Allen (Keitha) Barnett, Gerald Barnett (fiancé Tamara Daffron), two grandsons; Eric (Robin) Barnett and Kyler (Hailey) Barnett, and one great grandson; Hunter Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Gene Barnett, two sisters; Stella Barnett and Ruby New, and her daughter-in-law; Lori Barnett.

Mildred had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Elk Ridge Baptist Church. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband canning and freezing vegetables from their garden.

The family will celebrate Mildred's life with a visitation Thursday, June 24 ^th , 2021 from 11 AM until 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Funeral  services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 1 PM in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Riegel New officiating.  Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
