'Mildred Bastin Stamper, was born in the Wall Town community of Casey County, October 30, 1918 the only child of Cloyd and Ora Ware Bastin. She passed away Thursday evening, July 8th at her home .On June 20, 1943 she united in marriage with Edwin P. Stamper Sr. who passed away September 13, 1997. To this union four sons survive with their families:Jim and his wife Martha Samper of Hendersonville, Tennessee and their children: Todd Stamper, Eric (Cristin) Stamper and Matthew (Megan) Stamper and children Taylor and McKenzie.Edwin Stamper Jr. and his wife Shirley of Monticello and their sons: David Stamper; Scott (Tasha) Stamper and sons, Owen and Eli and John (Laura) Stamper and children Nathaniel and Ava.Floyd and his wife Brenda Stamper of Waynesburg and their children: Amanda (Todd) Hobson, Jody Stamper and Judy Stamper.Charles Stamper of Monticello and his children Ezra Stamper and Chenoa (Dustin) Beard.Mrs. Stamper was a retired school teacher with the Wayne County Board of Education. She had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and served her Lord as a Sunday School Teacher for many years at Monticello First Baptist Church.
