'Mintford Earl -Beardy- Hicks was born April 14, 1932 in the Powersburg community of Wayne County, the son of the late Richie and Daisy Stinson Hicks. He departed this life suddenly, Saturday July 3rd at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.He is survived by his wife Floonie M. Hicks and sevenchildren; Kathlene Stinson, Marlene Stringer, Harold, Jay, Lester and Dexter Hicks all of Wayne County and Tina Carter of Kathlene, Georgia.Also surviving are nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren; two sisters, Nannie Bell Pyles and Neecie Dishman and two brothers, Billy ad Newell Hicks with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.He is preceded in death by a grandchild; sisters, Bertie Hancock, Grace Brown, Mary Dishman and Siney Hicks and brothers Ramie and Sherman Hicks.Bready had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the Denny Hollow Jesus Name Church.
