'Mona Lucille Massengale Perdue was born in the Gap Creek community of Wayne County, May 29th, 1927 the daughter of the late Ode and Delphia Bertram Massengale. She departed this life, Tuesday, January 4th, 2011 at the Belle Meade Healthcare facility in Greenville, Kentucky.On July 24th, 1945 she united in marriage with John C. Perdue who passed away July 4th, 2009. To this union two children survive; Bro. Vernon Ray and his wife Mary Perdue of Madisonville, Kentucky and Betty Ann and her husband James Studer of Rockford, Illinois.Also surviving are five grandchildren: John and his wife Temesia Perdue; David Perdue; Timothy and his wife Patty Studer; Tamara and her husband Christopher Griffin and Tina Studer: Nine great grandchildren her sister, Shirley Brown and Gene Massengale.Mrs. Perdue had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church.
