Mossie Lewis was born July 2, 1942 and departed this life Sunday, August 9, 2020 reaching the age of 78 years. She was the daughter of (the late) John Robert and Ida Bell (Brock) Ivy.

She is survived by: 1 son, John Kilburn; 1 daughter, Shirley (Paul) Dickson; 2 grandchildren, Jimmy Lemons and John L. Kilburn; 10 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Billy Gene Lewis; 1 son, Timothy Lee Kilburn; 1 daughter, Mattie Jean Kilburn; 2 sisters, America Lawson and Mattie Clutts; and 3 grandchildren, Christopher Kilburn, Mark Guthrie and Melissa Guthrie.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2020 between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 2 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
