Obituary
'Myrtle Vaughn Abbott, age 90 was born in the Ritner community of Wayne County, May 20, 1920 the daughter of the late Sherman and Rebecca Corder Vaughn. She passed away Sunday evening, August 15th at the Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN.
On August 8, 1940 she united in marriage with Robert Cecil Abbott who passed away June 10, 2001. To this 60 year union four children survive; Ruth Pendleton and Mike Abbott both of Crossville, Ray Abbott of Petersburg, IN and Harold Abbott of Washington, Indiana.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Hazel Coffey, Irene Jones and Ella Dean Vaughn and brother, Fred Vaughn; with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Vaughn, Oreda Lamar and Nella Adams and brothers, Theo, Carson, Elmo and Ford Vaughn.
As a young lady she accepted Christ as her Savior and was a lifetime member of the Lick Creek Baptist Church.
