Obituary

'Namon Ottis New age 81, was born in Wayne County, March 19, 1927 the son of the late Luther and Dora Lair New. He passed away, Saturday evening, at the Wayne County Hospital after an extended illness.

On May 21, 1949 he united in marriage with Fannie Mae Troxell, who survives. To this 59 year union three children survive; Bernice Flynn, Marlene Coffey and Bruce New, his daughter Sue Ann New precedes him in death.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, Greg Weaver, Scott Smith, Adam Flynn and Amanda Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Treavor, Payton, Camille and Lucas; three sisters, Lavonne Borgess, Diana New and Delta Phillips and two brothers, Dallas and Donald New.

His siblings, Rose Russell, Mabel Carrender, Zelpha Bolen and Hobert New precede him in death.

Ottis served is country with honor during and Second World War. He had accepted Christ as Lord as a young man and became a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
