'Nelson Stonewall, age 63 the son of the late Clark Lester -Doc- Stonewall and Lena Mae Wade Stonewall who survives was born May 2, 1944 in the Coopersville Community of Wayne County. He departed this life suddenly, February 26, 2008 in the Emergency Room of the Wayne County Hospital.
On February 28th, 1971 he united in marriage with his wife of 37 years, Glenna Mae Bell Stonewall. To this union three children survive; Dana and his wife Moriah Stonewall of Monticello, Jacquilla and her husband William Gillete of Seymour, Tennessee and Charles Stonewall and his companion Melissa Sweet of Amelia, Ohio and Jerry and Christie Bunch of Amelia, Ohio.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, nine step grandchildren: Sisters, Amanda Melinda Jane (George) Ewing, Chris (Vernon) Bennett, Maunaza (James) Lyons, Judda Hooley, Peggy (Craig) Johnston and a half sister, Marie Mason: Brothers, Clark (Pattie) Stonewall, Sharkley (Tonya Lorraine) Stonewall, Leander Yattoy (Diane) Stonewall and Joseph Stonewall.
He is preceded in death by his father: Brother, Abraham Lincoln Stonewall and twin sister, Agnes Stonewall and half brothers, Charles, William and McKinley Stonewall.
Nelson served his country with honor in Vietnam and was a life long member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Stearns, Kentucky.
