Obituary
'Niles Delmar Smith, age 82 was born in Wayne County June 13, 1925 the son of the late Dewey and Jane Carter Smith. He lost his battle with cancer, February 17, Sunday morning at the Wayne County Hospital
On March 10th, 1925 he united in marriage with Lillian Hughes Smith. To this union two children survive; Elsie and her husband Tony Jones and Gary and his wife Mitze Smith all of Monticello.
Also surviving are four grandchildren; Kevin and Delana Crabtree, Jason Smith and April Sundermeier; two great grandchildren Keelan and Kiran; two sisters, Ila Jones and Vella Stephenson and his brother Kenneth Smith.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Reva Self, Marel Denney and a infant brother, Melvin Smith.
Mr. Smith served his country in the Army with honor during the Second World War and served his Lord as a member of the Taylor-s Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral:
Wednesday at 12 Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel
