Norma Susan Adams, born October 21, 1953, in Wayne County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, August 22, 2026. Norma Sue Adams reached the age of 72 years. She was the daughter of Cephas Pittman and Treva (Piercy) Pittman.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Richard Dale Adams. Her children and daughter-in-laws, who she let know daily how much she loved them; but her grandkids were still her favorite. Her children Shannon (Kim) Pittman, Rick Adams, Chris (Latrenda) Adams. Now on to the light of her world, her grandchildren: Shannon Pittman, Kassandra Baker, Victoria Pittman, Myricka Adams. Myrissa Adams, Areonna Adams, Kensie Adams, Braden Adams, Macie Adams, Ashton Adams, Makinzee Head, Colton Adams and Hunter Adams. Then she was blessed with her great grandchildren: Brinley Hurt, Stormi Baker, Elaina Pittman, Brixtynn Conn, Coven Conn, Walker Adams and another on the way, who only great grandma knew her name.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Cephas and Treva (Piercy) Pittman. Siblings: Roy Pittman, Cecil Pittman, Clara Preat, Faye Burton and Billy Pittman.

As much as we will miss her, we find comfort knowing she is in the arms of Jesus. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, Mamaw and friend. When trying to write her obituary, we remembered so much. The grandkids favorite memories, was Mamaw cooking all the time! If you wanted it, Mamaw made it. Many times, we all lived next door; and she would cook. We would all be huddled in the kitchen and living room, eating that good ole homemade Mac and Cheese. She was the best! We loved going Christmas Eve to help prepare for Christmas; and it didn’t stop there. If we ever got hurt, she would just love and doctor us!

Anyone who knew Norma knew what a kind soul she was. She was willing to help anyone, if she was able. She loved going to auctions and yard sales; and would do some willin’ and dealin’! We cannot forget her love of jewelry as well. There is so much we could say; But we will just say, she was the Best! She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2026, starting at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery.
