Obituary
'Obie E. Phillips was born March 28th, 1932 the son of the late Claude and Vina Foster Phillips. He passed away August 2nd at the Wayne County Hospital reaching an age of 86 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Kathryn Ann Webb Phillips who passed away, September 4th,2003.
Surviving are his siblings: Attlean Kennedy, Eva Lee Branscum, Helen Coffey, Raymond Phillips, Col. Samuel Phillips, DannyPhillips and Pleaz Phillips.
He is preceded on death by his siblings: Phyllis Martin, Dewey, Hobert and Allen Phillips.
Obie worked for many years manufacturing compressors and air conditioners before he returned to Wayne County to retire. He had accepted Christ as his Savior in 1952 and became of lifetime member of the Freedom Baptist Church.',
