'Oliver H. \u0027Perry\u0027 Parrigin Jr was born in Monticello, Kentucky August 27, 1927 the son of the late Doctor Perry and Mai Akers Parrigin. He departed this life Wednesday, January 21, in Louisville.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Snow Brandon, of Lakeland, Fla., and nieces Linda Parrigin, Nancy Ruth Denton, Sheila Bono, Dr. Mary Bell and Carol Timmons and nephew Ches Brandon. He also is survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews as well as dear friends, the Luba family.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Nancy Bell and Robert Abel and his wife Eileen Parrigin.
A native of Monticello, he was a graduate of Monticello High School and attended Cumberland College. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a farmer and animal lover and worked on the Parrigin family farm and Bell family farm for many years.
Expressions of sympathy should take the place of donations to Wounded Warriors or the First Christian Church of Monticello.
