'Opal Burgess Bridgeman, age 91 was born in Monticello, June 24th, 1918 the daughter of the late John Harrison and Margaret Adkins Burgess. She departed this life, Monday, June 29th at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Gail Bridgeman. Surviving are four children; Anna and her husband Harold Massey of Somerset, Gayla and her husband Jerry Peavie and Clyde and his wife Marylene Bridgeman both of Monticello and John Kay and his wife Kathy Bridgeman of Parrigan, IN. Her daughter Lytha Breeding precedes her in death.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Arthur and Frances Burgess.

She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Burgess and a grandson, Harry Arnold Tate III.
