Rev. Oral Hayden Denney was born September 30th, 1927 and departed this life Sunday, August 15th, 2021 reaching the age of 93 years.  He was the son of the late James Floyd and Bonnie Mae Lowe Denney.

He united in marriage to Annette Jones Denney, who passed away April 26 ^th , 2021, and to this union three sons and one daughter survive; Danny Ray (Phyllis) Denney, Mark Allen (Shannon) Denney, Thomas Oral (Sandy) Denney, and his daughter; Brenda Joyce Upchurch, one sister; Jean Covey, eleven grandchildren; Scott Denney, Misty Truitt, Ben Upchurch, Michele Upchurch, Anthony Upchurch, Marcie Leady, Christopher Denney, Chad Denney, Kelli Shelton, Leslie Denney, Matthew Denney, twenty-one great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was proceeded in death by an infant daughter; Sheila Rose, three brothers; Larson Denney, Earnest Denny, Ralph Denney, two sisters; Gladys West, Lena Simpson, and one grandchild; Joshua Paul Denney.

Oral had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the First Church of God in Frankfort, Kentucky at the time of his passing.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 24 ^th , 2021 between 10AM and 1 PM at the First Church of God in Monticello, Ky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 24 ^th at 1PM at the First Church of God with Bro. Christopher Denney, Sister Leslie Denney, Bro. Darrell Bunch, and Bro. Byron Creech officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Fund.
