Oscar Mendoza was born February 3, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this walk of life Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Monticello, Kentucky, reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of Zella (Jones) Mendoza and the late Aurelio Mendoza.
He is survived by his mother: Zella Mendoza; Sons: Shane David Mendoza and Shawn Michael Mendoza (Laura). Grandchildren: Haley Dawn Mendoza, Marissa Ann Mendoza, Logan Michael Mendoza, Alexandra Kay Mendoza and Tyler Daniel Mendoza; One Great-Grandchild: Alana Estelle Mendoza; Sisters: Virginia Kendrick and Rosemary Taylor. Along with a host of family and friends that mourn his passing
In addition to his father: Aurelio Mendoza; he was preceded in death by two brothers: David Mendoza and Richard Mendoza.
He was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1;00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
