­­­­­­­­­­­­­Paul Edwin Jones was born January 12, 1931, and departed this life Tuesday, September 24, 2024, reaching the age of 93 years. He was the son of the late James Harrison and Lizzie (Crabtree) Jones.

He is survived by; his son, Edwin Lee (wife Mary) Jones; grandson, Casey Jones; granddaughter, Janey Jones; step-granddaughter, Renee (Billy) Thompson; 1 sister, Ruby (David) Edwards; 3 brothers, William Kelley (Bonnie) Jones, Claude (Carolyn) Jones, and Frank (Claudia) Jones; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elma Louise (Smith) Jones; siblings, Estil Ray Jones, Bygie Wilburn (Lillian) Jones, Omie (Logan) Shearer, and Kyle Phillip (Linda) Jones.

Paul was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He was a logger and enjoyed 4-wheeling and collecting guns in his spare time. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1 PM – 2 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Old Sandusky Cemetery.
