'Paul Simpson, age 79 was born in the Mt. Pisgah community of Wayne County, February12, 1931 the son of the late John and Ida Delk Simpson. He passed away Saturday afternoon, April 30th at the Golden Years Nursing Home.

On June 3, 1954 he united in marriage with Irene Burnett Simpson who survives. To this 55 year union six children survive; Paul Steven Simpson, Ronnie Simpson, Mark Anthony Simpson, Paula Elizabeth Koger, Johnbrook Matthew Simpson and Troy James Isaac Simpson.

Also surviving are five grandchildren; sisters, Irene Simpson, Ina Mae Hurt, Dean Brewster and Joyce Barnard and brothers, Keith and Kenneth Simpson with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by a grandson; and sisters Lula Foster, Alta Simpson, Evelyn Winchester and an infant sisters and brother, Benjamin Simpson.

As a young man Paul accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the Mr. Pisgah Baptist Church as long as his health permitted.

Visitation:
Monday fro 5 to 9 and Tuesday until service time

1PM Tuesday in the Funeral Home Chapel
