'Pearlie Hickman Franklin, age 87 was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, July 20 1923 the daughter of the late Jason and Necey Troxell Cordell. She departed this life Sunday morning, July 3rd after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hickman and to this union eleven children survive: Nola Stephens, Jewell Sexton, Noble Hickman, Sara Watson, Georgia Strunk, Carl Royce Hickman, Kathy Young, Rebecca Hickman, Sandra Allen, Sharon Dunagan and Rosa Tucker. Her son, Joseph Hickman precedes her in death.

She is also preceded in death by her husband Milford Franklin who passed away in 1988.

Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren: her brothers, Dester Cordell with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Carrie Salters, William, Lloyd -Pete-, Ellis and Ted Cordell and her half siblings, Mae Cordell Watson and Mitchell Cordell.

Mrs. Franklin was a member of the Pentecostal Faith and was a faithful member of the Lincoln Ave Church of God as her health permitted.
