'Phyllis Phillips Foster Martin was born October 14, 1934 in the Freedom community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Claude and Vina Foster Phillips. She passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home reaching an age of 83 years.
She was united in marriage with Robert Eugene Foster who passed away October 8, 1967. On October 31, 1969 she united in marriage with Luid Eugene Martin who passed away May 22, 2014.
She is survived by her children: Bro. Larry and wife Robin Foster, Vicky Foster and husband Jim Wingerter, Tim and his wife Sheila Foster, Mike and his wife Tracy Foster and Richard and wife Delynna Martin. He son Jeff Foster passed away in 2012
Also surviving is her daughter in law, JoAnn Foster and grandchildren: Stacy, Scarlet, Samantha, Jerri, Kevin, James, Jimmy, Robert, Shelby and Taylor; great grandchildren: Hunter, Bailey, Tripp, Dresden, Jor-El and Julius and her siblings: Attlean Kennedy, Eva Lee Branscum, Helen Coffey, Obie, Raymond, Sam, Danny and Pleaz Phillips.
She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Dovie Phillips, Dewey, Alan and Hobert Phillips.
At the age of 13 Phyllis accepted Christ as her Savior and became a lifelong member of the Freedom Baptist Church.',
