Ray Bertram was born November 22, 1936, and departed this life Friday, January 12, 2024, reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of (the late) Leroy Hayden and Annie (Catron) Bertram.

He is survived by his wife, Verdie Bertram; 3 sons, Steve Bertram (Sherri), Mike (wife Vivian) Bertram, and Dan Bertram; 7 grandchildren, Shaun Bertram, Ashley Ernspicker, Angela Bertram, Sarah Bertram, Zachary Ensminger, Chris Bertram, and Christy Coulter; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Georgia Denney, Betty Catron and Millie Clark; 2 brothers, Everett Bertram, and Robert Bertram.

Ray was a longtime member of the Old Union Separate Baptist Church in Slickford, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, between 5 pm - 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 11 am at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

TLC will be closed Wednesday for the funeral service.
