'Rex Nelson Hutchinson, age 66 was born April 17, 1945 the son of the late James Russell and Nota Lenora Bertram Hutchinson. He passed away Monday, November 28th, 2011 at his home on Somerhill Court in Somerset.

On June 3rd, 2000 he united in marriage with his surviving spouse: Catherine Niersman of Somerset.

Surviving are his daughters: Angela Renee Hutchinson of Somerset; Dorothy Jean (Brahim) Bouzouma of Somerset; Pamela Dijiba of Georgetown; Ethel Lynn Hutchinson of Parkins, Arkansas; Allison Nicole (Derek) Chaplin of Monticello and Meoshe Robertson of Austin, Texas; his sons: Rex Nelson (Terry) Hutchinson, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; Kelvin Kendrick of Monticello; Tony Kendrick of Monticello and Christopher (Candance) Niersmann of Fort Drum, New York.

Also surviving are 24 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters: Lorene (James) Sloan of Monticello and Elizabeth Cowan of Monticello and his brother: Monte Delion Hutchinson of Monticello with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his daughter: Lisa Michelle Hutchinson; his sisters: Agnus Piercy and Margaret Crawford and his brothers: Ray McKinley Hutchinson and James Russell Hutchinson, Jr.

He served his country with honor in the Army and was a member of the Mt. Zion AME Church where he was baptized in May of 2000. Rex loved to fish and cook for his friends and family. He was blessed with the gift of music and loved to sing for his family and his Lord.
