Obituary
'Robert Ray Abbott, age 74, of Petersburg, Indiana, the son of Robert and Myrtle Abbott passed away Sunday in Evansville, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Dawson Abbott.
Ray is survived by his sons, Thomas Abbott-Crossville, TN and Terry Abbott-Petersburg; daughters, Treva Abbott Gonzalez- Princeton, IN and Theresa Abbott- Lynnville, IN; stepson, Jade Culbertson-Knoxville, TN; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; brothers, Harold Abbott-Washington, IN and Michael Abbott-Crossville, TN; and sister Ruth Pendelton-Grandview, TN.
He worked for many years as a truck driver and was very active in the Petersburg VFW and Moose Lodge.
The Local Funeral Service and burial will be held 1PM Saturday Graveside at the Abbott Cemetery in the Ritner Community of Wayne County. The family will receive friends from 10 until 12:30 Saturday at the Funeral Home.
