Obituary
'Roland Thomas Gregory, age 76 was born in Wayne County, September 15, 1934 the son of the late Roy Tennis and Effie Louise Bell Gregory and departed this life, Saturday evening, November 6th, 2010.
He was united in marriage with Lucy Angie Thompson who passed away May 23, 2001. To this marriage one son, Ronald Gregory survives.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Gloria Maxwell, Tammy Branscum and Misty Gregory; four great grandchildren, Ethan Maxwell, Emily Maxwell, Paisley Maxwell and Trenton Blair; three sisters, Audrey Brown, Lucy Alexander and Ann Neal and two brothers, Ray and Jimmy Gregory.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Sue Gregory and Bobby Kay Gregory.
Roland served his country with honor in the United States Army and was a gift automobile mechanic. At the age of eight he accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the Second Street Baptist Tabernacle.
