'Ronnie Gene Rigney, age 53 was born in the Cooper community of Wayne County, December 29, 1959 the son of the late Robert William Rigney and Anna Lee Dobbs Rigney who survives. He passed away Sunday, March 17th at his home after a long fight with cancer.

He was united in marriage with Mary Jane Barnett Rigney who precedes him in death.

Ronnie is survived by his wife: Deena Mack Rigney and her children: Michele Engle and Bobby L. Bear Jr. Also surviving is his sister: Carolyn and husband Dan Brumbaugh and brothers: Clyde and wife Vicky Rigney; Billy Joe and his wife Tina Rigney; Kay and wife Terry Rigney; James and Becky Rigney and William and his wife Susan Rigney; with many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Ronnie was retired from the Wayne County Detention Center. He was a 20 year member of the Wayne County Rescue Squad and a faithful member of the Monticello First Church of God.
