On March 17, 1978, he was united in marriage to his wife of 46 years Deborah Gregory Bell. From this union, two daughters were born: Amy Toler and Brandi Martin.
He is survived by his wife Debbie, 2 daughters Amy (Allen) Toler and Brandi (Jason) Martin; grandchildren: Zyler Coffey, Andy and Everly Martin; along with a niece: Norma (Paul) Decker; Great nieces Cortney (Alan) Berry, Taylor (Elijah) Catron and Chelsea (Wesley) Morrow; Great-great nephews: Hunter Morrow and Kohin Catron.

Roy accepted Christ at an early age. He and Debbie raised their family in the Griffin Community. Roy was a man of many hobbies and talents, but his biggest blessing was spending time with his Grandkids.
Also held in Roy's heart, was a special place for his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Barbara Dobbs. From the many rides and adventures, he and Jerry shared over the years, to the home cooked meals Barb loved to prepare, they made many treasured memories.
He spent 20+ years as a mechanic and truck driver for Sunstar Houseboats. Being retired, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and working on all things big and small, especially his old trucks. He and Debbie enjoyed riding in the woods together and they were always planning a good trail ride, with his Son-in-law Jason. He spent many weekends dozing with his son-in-law, Allen, and also enjoyed his time as a logger.
Roy was gifted with the talent of singing and playing guitars, which he collected. At the age of 12, he began singing, playing, and even wrote a song with his brother Dale. They recorded a record by the name of The Kentucky Raiders. In his younger years, Roy spent many weekends traveling with his buddies playing music. He made many lifelong friends singing and playing the music that he loved. He will truly be missed by his family and loved ones.
