'Roy Elmo Bridgeman, was born December 25th, 1935 in the Slickford community of Wayne County, the son of the late Robert and Cybil Shelton Bridgeman. He departed this life Friday evening, August 30th at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington reaching an age of 83 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Lillie Maedean Slaven Bridgeman who passed away May 16, 2002 and his son, Todd Bridgeman who passed away September 21, 2016.
Surviving are his children: Allen and his wife Bonnie Bridgeman, Dwayne Bridgeman, Robert and his wife Karen Bridgeman and Charles and his wife Samantha Bridgeman and his daughters: Jessica Powell and Catherine Riddle and his daughter in law, Melissa Bridgeman.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and siblings: Dallas Bridgeman, Linda Scott, Leta Bryant, Charlotte Burnett and Sue Kahn.
Roy had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the Big Spring Baptist Church.',
