Ruby Lee Cooper of Monticello, Kentucky was born December 24,1937 and departed this life Friday, December 30, 2022, reaching the age of 85 years. She was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Tom and Grace Hicks Brown. She was the wife of Roy Cooper, whom she was married to for sixty-seven years.

Along with her husband Roy, she survived by two daughters; Gaylen Hicks and Joyce Foster, one son; Fred (Joyce) Cooper, two sisters; Beulah Stinson, Alene Jenkins, four brothers; Gerald Brown, Ricky Brown, Jerry Brown, and Hallice Brown, nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters; Luda Lowe, Margie Neal, and two brothers; Roy Kay Brown, and Flemon Brown.

Ruby had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Cooper Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5 ^th from 11 AM    until 1 PM in the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services following at 1PM.
