Russell Brown, age 90 of Monticello, KY, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at his home.

He was born February 15, 1930 in Monticello, KY; the son of (the late) Rufus and Artie Myrtle (Jones) Brown.

He married Mary Jane Smith who survives him in death.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary Jane Brown; 2 sons, Earl (Pamela) Brown and Leo Andy (Kathy) Brown; 1 brother, Howard Brown; 2 sisters, Shirley Jones and Barbara Tatom; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 2 daughters, Phyllis Ann Brown and Judy Mae Southwood; 1 brother, Herstle Brown; 1 sister Bernice Canada.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 21, 2020 between 10 am - 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Cemetery.
