'Ruth Ellen Troxell, age 77 was born May 30, 1934 in Griffin community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Oliver and Mandy Blevins Coffey. She departed this life, Monday morning, September 19th, in the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.On September 3, 1955 she united with Clyde Lewis Troxell who passed away March 26th, 1994. To this union eight children were born, five daughters and three sons: Deborah Posey of Knoxville, Tennessee, Judy Thomas of Albany, Flora Alice Coffey, Peggy Holden and Ruth Anna Troxell all of Monticello, Clyde Troxell Jr. of Somerset, Gale and Daniel Troxell both of Monticello.She was the loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Slaven of Jamestown, Tennessee and one brother, Larry Coffey of Monticello. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Monie Foster and a grandson.Ruth professed Christ as her savior at the age of 16 during a revival meeting at the Bell Hill Baptist Church near her childhood home in the Griffin community.She was loved by all who knew her and will be tenderly missed by her family and friends.
