'Samuel Willard \u0027Sam\u0027 Catron, age 78 was born October 8, 1938 in New Castle, Indiana the son of the late Rolland and Lorena Peters Catron. He departed this life Friday, February 3rd at the Baptist Health in Lexington.

On July 14, 1986, he united in marriage with the late Georgia Oleva Morrow Catron who passed away September 8, 2013.

He is survived by his children: Marilyn and husband Mike Popish, Mike and wife Debbie Catron, Sandra and her husband Rick Rinberger, Sheila Catron Lang and Scott and his wife Mary Catron.

Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sister, Martha Massengale and brother, Phillip Catron with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Walker, David and Ben Catron.

As a young man he accepted Christ as his Savior. He enjoyed using his God given gift of music and shared in many churches in Wayne and surrounding counties.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or Second Life Ministry.
