'Sara Lou Owens Roberts, was born April 20, 1939 in Rose Hill, Virginia the daughter of the late Ulyss Grant and Mollie Harris Owens. She departed this life Sunday morning, March 29, 2015 at her home in the Mill Springs Community of Wayne County.

On November 14, 1959 she united in marriage with Jack C. Roberts who survives. To this 55 year union three children survive: Wayne and his wife Lisa Roberts, Bill and wife Laura Roberts and Donna and her husband Trent Thompson.

Also surviving are five grandchildren: Michael, Kaitlin, Grant and Reagan Roberts and Tess Thompson, with numerous other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Katie Dorsey.

Sara had accepted Christ as her Lord and was a faithful member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
