Sherry Bennett Marcum was born July 4, 1951, and departed this life Friday, April 4, 2025, reaching the age of 73 years. She was the daughter of the late Helen Frances (Barnett) Butler.

She is survived by her husband, Bro. Larry Marcum; one son, Michael Marcum (Rochelle); four grandchildren, Madeline Grace Marcum (fiancé, Malaki Cortes), Adam Reid Marcum, and Trenton (wife Jenna) Jones; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Vada Jones, with one on the way; one brother, Jimmy Bennett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Jay Marcum; and her grandparents who raised her, Shelby and Lona Barnett.

Sherry loved life and her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Spann Hill Cemetery.
