Obituary
'Sophia Virginia Morris was born October 22nd, 1922 to the late Claude and Willie Carrender Thornton and passed away Friday, February 24th, 2012 reaching the age of eighty-nine years.
She united in marriage with Ralph J. Morris in the year of 1943 and to this union two children survive; Louise and her husband Bruce Edwards of Indianapolis, Indiana and Ralph M. Morris of Monticello. She is also survived by her siblings; Eula Clary of Cincinnati, Ohio, Anna Cloud of Oneida, Tennessee, and Jim Thornton of Monticello, her four grandchildren; Melissa Edwards of Indianapolis, Indiana, Melinda and her husband John Dashiell of Indianapolis, Josh and his wife Crista Morris of Glasgow, Kentucky and Jeff Morris of Monticello and her three great grandchildren; Shania Morris, Jeffery Paul Morris and Lane Morris.
She is preceded in death by her siblings; Roy, Ralph and Robert Thornton.
Sophia had accepted Christ as her Savior many years ago and was a member of the Monticello Methodist Church.
She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
