'Thelma Burgess Bell, age 93 was born in Monticello, May 13, 1914 the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Denton Burgess. She departed this life Wednesday, May 7th at the Livingston Regional Hospital.
On June 12, 1936 she united in marriage with Clyde James Bell who passed away August 7th, 1989. To this union seven children survive; Jack Bell, Alice Tucker, Anna Ruth Gregory, Billy Bell, Bobby Bell, Nancy Decker and Harold Bell.
Also surviving is one brother, Melvin Burgess of Byrdstown, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Katherine McCutchen, Helen Fuller, Emergene Kelsey, Russell, Ed and Paul Burgess.
Mrs. Bell had accepted Christ as her Savior and in July of 1954 she became a member of the Canada-s Creek Baptist Church.
The funeral service was held Saturday morning in the Chapel of the Hickey \u0026 Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Morrow and Bro. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
