Obituary

Thomas E. Dicken was born November 16, 1931 in Albany, KY and went home to be with the Lord Jesus January 5, 2020 reaching the age of 88. He was the son of the late Sampson W. and Minnie Dicken.

He was united in marriage to Alene Davis Dicken on December 21, 1963. They were happily married for 56 years.

He is survived by his wife, Alene Dicken of Monticello and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sampson W. and Minnie Dicken; 2 sisters, Artie Thompson and Alta Dicken; 2 brothers, Carvin & Ken Dicken.

Tom was a retired Methodist Minister. He pastored several churches all over the state including Wayne County.

Tom was a veteran, a member of the Eastern Star at West Point, KY, Shriners, Scottish Rite and the Masonic Lodge of KY where he was Grand Master from 1973-1974.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 between 12 pm and 2pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 2pm at the United Methodist Church of Monticello with Bro. Robbie Shrout officiating. Burial will be at the Cave Springs cemetery in Albany, KY. Full military honors will be performed by our local DAV chapter 105.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the local DAV or to the Monticello United Methodist Church.
