'Tommy Houston Goodwin, was born in the Hill Top Community of Wayne County, July 19, 1949, the son of the late Alonzo and Carrie Jones Goodwin. He departed this life, Sunday April 10, 2011 at the Central Baptist Hospital after an extended illness.On February 14, 1970 he united in marriage with Brenda Kay Hammond Goodwin who survives. To this 41 year union two children survive: Brian Goodwin and Missy Garner.Also surviving are two grandson: Trevor and Matt Garner: brothers; Carl Dean Wright and Donnie Wayne Goodwin and his sisters: Joyce Exstien, Shirley Stephens, Janice Waters, Faye Hayes and Pauline Coffey: with many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Georgia Helton, Heston Wright, Leslie Goodwin, Glenn Wright and Estil Thompson.
