Velma Mae McGuire Dodson was born September 28, 1947, to the late Powers and Lessie (Boston) McGuire, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (Stacy) Dodson, Darrell (Bridgette)Dodson, Susan (Curtis) Bell and Lesa Stephenson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Isner and Helen Coomer; and one brother, Vasco McGuire.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Norman, and Earl McGuire; and two sisters, Mary Russell and Elsie Mains.

A private family funeral service will be held.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
