'Velma Elizabeth Barnett Trueblood, age 92 was born in Wayne County, August 25, 1920 the daughter of the late Rufus and Lillian Powell Barnett. She departed this life, Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

She was united in marriage with her husband of 42 years, Robert Alton Trueblood who passed away in 1989. Surviving are five children: Robert Trueblood, Betty Baldwin, Jimmy Trueblood, Violet Trueblood and Patricia Eriksen.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, one step grandchild, 18 great grandchildren and four step great grandchilden and one great-great grandchild and a step great grandchild and siblings: Gene Barnett, James Ovid Barnett and Eleanor Smith.

She was preceded in death by siblings: Elburn Barnett, Mildred Carol, Vivian Popplewell and an infant sister, Marjorie

Mrs. Trueblood had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Georgetown, KY.

Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
