'Vernon Miniard Sr, age 83 former Superintendant of the Monticello Independent School System passed away Saturday at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

He is survived by his wife Frances Miniard and sons, Monticello Police Chief Ralph Miniard, James Miniard and Judge Vernon Miniard Jr;

Grandchildren; Wayne Ann Wilson, Alex Millar, Emily Butcher and Drew Miniard and a great grandchild Twyla Grace Ann Wilson

Siblings; Mazzie Caudill, Mable Burkla, Frances Cornett, Marjorie Holbrook, Tommie Jean Smith, Carolyn Pratt, Gladeen Shepherd and Arthur Odell Miniard

Visitation:
Tuesday from 5 to 9 at the Vernon Miniard Auditorium and Wednesday from 8 until 11 at the Church

Funeral:
11 AM Wednesday at the Monticello United Methodist Church
