'Virgil Gilbert -Toe Joe- Gregory was born April 28, 1928 the son of the late Virbil Gregory and Roberta Burke Gilbert. He passed away, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the emergency room of the Wayne County Hospital.

He is survived by three children: Cindy and her husband Lonnie Oxley of Cicero, Indiana; Kimberly and husband Robby Gregory of Stearns and Eric and his wife Whitney Gregory of Monticello.

Also surviving are four grandchildren: Cheyanne and Cody Gregory and Mariah and Adam Oxley; two sisters: Beatrice Jones and Mollie Boyett with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by two brothers: Dennis and Dester Gilbert.

He had accepted Christ as his Savior was a faithful member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
