'Virginia Walker Jones, was born December 27, 1927 the daughter of the late Claude and Lula Shephard Walker and departed this life, Monday April 3rd at the Wayne County Hospital reaching an age of 89 years.On May 31st, 1946, she united in marriage with Fred Jones, who passed away February 5, 1981. To this 34-year union seven children survive: Bennie and his wife Emily Jones, Marty and wife Vickie Jones, Freda and husband Frank Baker, Sherry Jones, Scottie and wife Rosemary Jones, Mark and his wife Sandra Jones and Susan and her husband Jonathan Dobbs.Also surviving are her brothers: Ronnie and wife Pat Walker and Claude Walker Jr. ; grandchildren: Benji (Patrick) Burchett, Travis (Kathe) Jones, Angel (Eric) Hiner, Jenny Campbell, Amber (Paul) Kennoy, Brandon (Dannielle) Jones, Richard (Peggy) Baker, Lisa (Michael) Dobbs, Jennifer (Gary) Bertram, Jacob Jones, Matthew Jones, Jessica Dobbs, Shaylie Dobbs and Hadley Dobbs; great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Burchett, Noah Burchett, Kodie Jones, Adam Jones and Kourtney Jones;: Josh Bertram, Emily Bertram, Cassie Bertram, Dereck Richmond, Kenzie Richmond, Kollin Campbell, Thomas Kennoy, Roman Kennoy, Zachary Baker, Richie Baker, Andrew Dobbs, Jordan Dobbs, Haley Jones and Brevin Jones; great-great grandchildren: Keylee Baker, Kaleigh Hamilton and Addison Jones.She is preceded in death by her sister: Inez Hicks and grandson, Tommy Jones.Virginia had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and was a lifetime member of the Spann Hill Baptist Church.
